Quotes

Professor: It's a unique experience to delve into someone's background so different from our own. And these rare encounters enrich our lives, broaden our horizons and ...
Daisy: ... spoil our fantasies.

(Daisy is in her room when the phone rings.)
Daisy: Hello?
Cary: Hi, how's it going?
Daisy: Cary. Like you always said ... sometimes a little too much help is just as bad as no help at all.
Cary: Daisy, are you taking the blame for not knowing something you couldn't have known?
Daisy: How'd you guess?
Cary: Because I know you. Look, sometimes it just doesn't work out the way we want it to.
Daisy: Well ... that doesn't make my client or me feel any better.
Cary: Don't be so hard on yourself ... leave that task to others.
Daisy: (Smiles.) You always know just what to say to me.
Cary: (Grins.) And right now it's time to say goodnight. You get some sleep, okay?
Daisy: Okay. At least after this call, there's a chance of it. Thanks for the pep talk.
Cary: I think I enjoyed it even more than you did.
Daisy: Cary ... when I first started to work with you, you said that in time, it would get easier.
Cary: I lied. (Smiles.) Goodnight.
Daisy: (Smiles, too.) Goodnight.

Cary: Sweet revenge ... that's a contradiction in terms.
