Quotes

During a telephone call...
Cary:
Seems I'm caught between a rock and hard place. I'm about to break a lot of rules ... possibly a few hearts.
Daisy: I've known Cary Maxwell for a long time ... you'll figure out something. Just think of it as a challenge.
Cary: Instead of a headache. That may work. ... Thanks for listening, Daisy.
Daisy: Well, that wasn't so hard.
Cary: You make it easy. Now look, before you get embarrassed, I'm going to say good-night.
Daisy: You can embarrass me anytime.
Cary: And I'll consider it a priveledge.

Talking about Stuart...
Daisy:
Then I am a good judge of character ... I decided he had none.

Cary: I'm a bit of a gardner myself.
Marion: I thought you just dug into other people's business.
Cary: I'm sorry if it seems that way.

Nora: You have a very sad look on your face.
Cary: And I'm known to be a great poker player.

Daisy: Cary, this is Ted Caton ...
Cary: Oh, the benefactor.
Ted: (Shaking Cary's hand.) And you're ... ?
Cary: Cary Maxwell ... (He points to Daisy.) ... her benefactor.
