Lyman picks the horse he's
going to bet on by pinning the racing sheet on Cary's door and
throwing the letter opener at it ... just before Cary walks through
it.
Rita tracks down the details
about Alice Taylor-Hancock using the computer.
Daisy: (Sadly.) Forty years he's waited
to see her. And now because he's four weeks too late ... it just
isn't fair.
Cary: Death rarely is. But memories help.
And someone to share them with.
Alice: Why are you doing this for us?
Cary: Because I like your daughter ...
and your politics.
Alice: But you don't like me.
Cary: I would ... if you'd let me.
Alice: I'm going to try and do something
about that.
(They shake hands and Cary smiles.)
Cary: Okay.
